Benefits Counseling

benefits counseling

Much of the apprehension for young adults, and even more so for their families, around the topic of employment is centered on fears of losing government benefits, including health insurance coverage. Professional and accurate benefits counseling is vital in the education process for these youth and their family members when discussing employment.

Through support from The Able Trust, Marino Campus employs a full-time Benefits Counselor. The goal of the counselor is to work with students to make informed choices about work. The Benefits Counselor will assist beneficiaries to understand not only their benefits supports, but also how to utilize work incentives and other tools to assist them to achieve self-sufficiency through work.
